Chronicles of Turkmenistan is the news website of the Turkmen Initiative for Human Rights, an exile organization registered in Vienna in 2004. Launched in 2006 and blocked inside Turkmenistan, it reports on politics, human rights, shortages and daily life using sources inside the closed country, and is one of the very few independent outlets covering Turkmenistan.
