Liechtensteiner Vaterland

Liechtensteiner Vaterland is Liechtenstein's principal daily newspaper, published in Vaduz by Vaduzer Medienhaus. Founded in 1936 and historically aligned with the Patriotic Union party, it became the principality's only daily paper after rival Liechtensteiner Volksblatt ceased publication in 2023. It covers the princely house, government, parliament, municipalities, business and sport, with rolling coverage on its Vaterland online site.

Is Liechtensteiner Vaterland left-leaning, right-leaning or centrist?

Liechtensteiner Vaterland is positioned toward the editorial center of Liechtenstein's media spectrum, or its orientation is mixed or not consistently classified by the major media-bias assessments. Crosswire groups Liechtenstein outlets into left, center and right so you can read the same day's events from more than one vantage point: seeing Liechtensteiner Vaterland beside outlets of a different orientation makes editorial choices — which stories lead, which framing is used, what gets omitted — far easier to spot than reading any single source alone.

Leanings shown on Crosswire are approximate editorial orientations drawn from widely cited media-bias assessments (such as AllSides, Ad Fontes Media and Media Bias/Fact Check) and from each outlet's reputation. They are offered to help you read the same story from different perspectives — not as definitive or exhaustive judgements. Where a confident rating was unavailable, an outlet is shown as centrist.
