Sözcü
Sözcü is one of Türkiye's best-selling dailies, founded in 2007 and owned by businessman Burak Akbay. Firmly secularist and Kemalist, it is the most consistently oppositional mass-market paper, sharply critical of President Erdoğan's government, and is generally characterized as nationalist and centre-left, giving voice to Türkiye's secular opposition electorate.
