Nettavisen, launched in 1996, was one of the world's first online-only newspapers and remains among Norway's most-read news sites. It is jointly owned by the Norwegian media groups Amedia and Polaris Media, and publishes general news, business, sport, and opinion in Norwegian for a broad national audience, without a print edition.
